About Patrick Riordan

“I believe most people have a goal they want to accomplish with their financial assets, but many people struggle with getting their plan implemented. I enjoy not only helping people develop a plan consistent with their goals, but what I really enjoy is helping them build a portfolio designed to meet their goals and objectives.”

After completing high school at Shattuck-St.Mary’s in Faribault, Minnesota, Patrick received his bachelor’s degree in finance 1984 from the Creighton Heider College of Business in Omaha. Patrick began his investment career with Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in Minneapolis — an office which worked exclusively with financial institutions. In 1986 Patrick accepted an offer to transfer to the Omaha office of Merrill Lynch where his focus was working with financial institutions in the Omaha area.

When Patrick Riordan, Director of Client Services and Business Development, was pursuing different opportunities in the investment management field in 2012 –having had over 25 years of experience providing investment services to the Omaha investment community — something told him Lawson Kroeker was the perfect fit.

Since joining Lawson Kroeker in 2012, Patrick has assisted numerous individuals and families in managing their relationship with the firm. “The firm’s size offers us the opportunity to be closer with clients and to offer well-considered investment advice,” says Patrick. “We are able to help clients achieve their goals and objectives because decisions are made in-house from a well-qualified and experienced team.”

Patrick doesn’t let much grass grow under his feet. In his free time, he can be found at various social gatherings, non-profit functions, concerts and sporting events. Despite the busy schedule he keeps here in Nebraska, he has somehow managed to visit all 50 states. Patrick also serves on the Creighton Heider College of Business Advistory Board.
